Conveniently located between the twin centres of Bowness on Windermere (lakeside) and Windermere town The Coach House is just a short walk from international visitor attractions, restaurants and shops.

It is situated within a short walk of both Bowness and Windermere yet it is quiet and tranquil.

I liked everything, the cooked breakfast was lovely, the location was within walking distance of both Windermere and Bowness. It was friendly, clean, comfortable and off road parking.

Couple on 2 night leisure trip

Walking is generally how visitors get between the popular centres of Bowness and Windermere as parking roadside is very limited and costly. So our guests fully appreciate a safe place to park up and explore the locality. And what a locality!

Both internationally renowned destinations are just minutes away along a well worn and ever busy footpath between the towns.

Bowness-on-Windermere is lakeside and the obvious daytime draw because of the river cruises, shops, Beatrix Potter Attraction and views over the lake itself. We are happy to help you find the attractions that best suit your interests, be they outdoors, indoors or culinary.

Windermere town

Windermere town on the other hand, plays host to a wide array of locally owned specialist shops for walkers, climbers, the peckish and the hungry. Plus galleries that display the work of local artists, craft shops, lovely cafe's and restaurants and convenience shops including a pharmacy.

Just a few minutes to the lake, lovely cafes, restaurants, and the shops and services in Windermere and Bowness. Gentle woodland and hill walks are very close too.
